How we work these numbers out
Most solar quotes estimate your savings from a generic household profile. We built ours from real Perth bills.
We measured how Perth actually uses power. We analysed 361 Synergy bills from Perth homes — and deliberately threw out every bill from a house that already had solar. A solar home’s bill only shows what is left after their panels have done their work, not what the household really uses. That single exclusion removed about half our sample. What is left is Perth as it really is: a summer air-conditioning peak, a second peak in winter, and spring as the quietest season of the year.
We use Perth’s own solar climate, not a national average. Your generation is modelled from Global Solar Atlas irradiance for Perth, on a north-facing array at roof pitch. Tilt matters more than most people expect — it lifts mid-winter output from roughly 38% of summer to roughly 64%.
We model every half hour of the year. Your panels, your battery, your inverter and your usage are simulated across all 17,520 intervals — because when you use power matters as much as how much.
We cap generation at your inverter, exactly as a real inverter does. An oversized array is never credited with power your inverter could not physically deliver.
We apply the current Synergy DEBS rules, including the rule that inverters above 5 kW earn no feed-in payment.
These are estimates, and your real savings will move with the weather, your tariff and how your household uses power. But every input above is either measured from real bills or taken from a published climate dataset — none of it is a guess.

What happens next
We check a few things about your property. Most of it is photos — your switchboard, your meter and your bill — which you can send from your dashboard, linked at the bottom of this page. Your consultant will be in touch about anything unusual about the site.
We apply for grid connection with your electricity distributor on your behalf, and keep you posted on how it is going.
We book your installation once that approval is through and an accredited installer has accepted the job.
